Acerca de Cristina
Hello, my name is Cristina, I’m an Spanish native speaker with C1 level of English and two years of teaching experience.
My interested as a Spanish teacher began complete unexpectedly, when I was a volunteer in an ONG here in Barcelona. I was the tutor of people coming from Nepal, India, Morocco, Nigeria, Brazil, Pakistan, Senegal, Rumania, etcetera –most of them in contexts of social disadvantages given their condition of immigrants– for whom learning Spanish was mandatory in order to become part of the Spanish society.
In this environment, I discovered an inner vocation, which is teaching my mother tongue to orders, with these advantages:
1. I’m very keen on grammatic (my university major is Journalism)
2. I can speak English and Spanish at the same time
3. As I come from Latin America (my country of origin is Peru) I’m able of teaching different types of Spanish
4. I’m studying Catalan (confusions of writing “Espanya” o “Universitat” are not part of my class!)
All these reasons considered, why not start? I propose you to meet us first (using some plataform such as Skype or Zoom) and then you could decide whether if move forward or not. This first meeting will be completely free!
